Welcome home to Zero Point Awakening. I am so glad you’ve found your way to this quiet corner of the internet. Grab a warm cup of tea, settle into your favorite chair, and let’s talk about something that can truly transform the way you experience the world: the State of Zero.
If you have been following our journey here, you know that we often talk about the Hawaiian spiritual practice of Ho’oponopono. Today, I want to go deeper than just the phrases. I want to talk about the destination—that place of absolute peace where struggle ends and the flow of life begins.
Understanding the “Data” That Weighs Us Down
Before we understand the State of Zero, we look at what is currently filling that space. In Ho’oponopono terms, we call this “data.” Data is the collection of memories, baggage, and limiting beliefs stored in your subconscious mind.
For many people, this data becomes especially “loaded” when it comes to money. We may carry old programs that say money is evil, scarce, or corrupting. Some of us were taught that we have to struggle to survive, or we may feel—deep down—that we don’t deserve success. These aren’t just thoughts; they act like internal resistance, pushing away the abundance that wants to find us.
A key idea is that money will always reflect your mindset. If your mindset is filled with data of “not enough,” you may keep seeing “not enough” in your financial reality. This data can also act like a filter, causing you to notice lack more than what is already present in your life.
What Is the State of Zero?
So, what happens when you clear that data? You arrive at the State of Zero.
The State of Zero is absolute neutrality, peace, and serenity. It’s where you stop projecting past fears and judgments onto your present life. In this state, you are no longer operating from outdated beliefs about what life is supposed to be like.
At Zero, you don’t judge money as “good” or “bad.” You simply see it as a tool—something that can create freedom and help you make a difference in the world. You aren’t trying to force outcomes from desperation. Instead, you move from flow, where you can welcome, enjoy, and share Wealth with ease.
We Don’t Create Abundance; We Create Limitations
One of the most powerful insights shared by Arnold Patton is that we don’t create abundance—we create limitations.
Abundance is already present. The reason it isn’t experienced consistently is because limitations—your data—create walls that block your view. Ho’oponopono doesn’t “create” money. It helps remove the limitations. Returning to Zero is about erasing the blocks so the abundance that has always been available can reach you.
The Tools of the Zero Point Awakening
To reach this state, we use the Ho’oponopono “cleaning” tools—an internal conversation between you and your connection to the Divine. This practice is about taking total responsibility for what you experience, not as blame, but as empowerment: you have the ability to clear the programs running in your own mind.
The Four Classic Phrases
Most people begin with these four phrases:
- I love you
- I’m sorry
- Please forgive me
- Thank you
When you say “I’m sorry” and “Please forgive me,” you acknowledge that there is data in your subconscious contributing to your perception of lack. You’re asking the Divine to delete that program. “Thank you” is your gratitude for the healing, and “I love you” returns you to a vibration of peace.
The Advanced Fifth Phrase
If you want to move faster toward the State of Zero, you can use the fifth phrase:
“I forgives myself.”
It may sound grammatically unusual, and that’s intentional. In this clearing statement, “I” represents the Divine. “Forgives” is the action of the Higher Power erasing old data. “Myself” refers to your “small self”—your subconscious mind and the beliefs that have kept you in a state of struggle. With this phrase, you disconnect from the programming and allow yourself to return to peace.
Living at Zero: Expecting Miracles
When you live from the State of Zero, your daily experience changes. You stop worrying because you realize worry locks out abundance. Worry creates a scarcity mindset that clouds your ability to see opportunities that are right in front of you.
Instead of worrying, you clean. When a bill arrives and fear shows up, you use the phrases. When you feel jealous of someone else’s success, you use the phrases. You treat your emotions as signals to return to Zero.
As you clear the perception that life is a struggle, you begin to sense money is already coming to you. You widen the channel for more to arrive. And you start to Expect Miracles—because when you clear the internal patterns, your life has room to reflect the new peaceful mindset you’ve returned to.
You get what you expect. And when you’re in Zero, you’re no longer expecting the “bad” data of the past to repeat itself. You stand in the present moment—clear, open, and ready to receive infinite possibility.
